The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a national initiative set up by the construction industry. Sites and companies that register with the scheme are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The scheme focuses on any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. You can find further CCS details on the ‘CCS’ page.
Being safe is of paramount importance to all of us at Morgan Sindall. We see it as critical that our people, and those who are affected by our activities, benefit from an incident free environment. We operate a 100% Safe policy on all our projects where we aim to exceed legal safety requirements.
We have carefully planned the materials we need for the project. All timber products will be sustainably sourced and FSC approved.
Our target for this project is to divert 97 per cent of waste material from landfill, meaning we will find ways of recycling almost everything from site.
We also plan deliveries and handling of materials to ensure we use as few vehicle movements as possible, reducing our CO2 emissions as much as we can.
We will also be manufacturing materials such as steel and cladding off site, to cut down on vehicle movements and noise.
